Biography Contact Fred: wackerle@aol.com After a 40-year career as an executive search consultant specializing in CEO succession, Fred retired and has spent the last several years dividing his time between Chicago and Tucson attending workshops and classes in oil including the following institutions and instructors:
Fred enjoys both Studio and Plein Air painting and is an Artist Member of both the Tucson Plein Air Painters Society and the Palette & Chisel Academy of Chicago. Fred is also a member of The Plein Air Painters of Chicago and the Chicago Artists Coalition. In addition to this web site, his paintings may be seen in studio in the Fine Arts Building, Suite 635, 410 S. Michigan Ave. He had his first one man show in September, 2005 at the Metal Works Gallery in Chicago, and his paintings are currently exhibited at the Verano Gallery in Bisbee, AZ.. Having previously received Honorable Mention at the "TPAPS Goes To Tubac" show for his painting Picacho Shadows, in June 2005 Fred also was awarded Honorable Mention at the Cedarburg, WI "Plein Air Competition" for his painting Schroeder House Shadows. In August, 2007, Fred had his abstract Cloud Series paintings exhibited in the Chelsea Juried Artist's Show at the Agora Gallery in Chelsea, New York. His paintings reflect an avid interest in the impressionistic shapes and shadows of the outdoors:
